Waste Assets Management Corporation rehabilitates, remediates and manages legacy contaminated sites and landfills owned by the NSW Government. Our highly specialised team has extensive experience in operations, engineering, environmental management and planning. As a Field and Data Scientist with the Waste Asset Management Corporation (WAMC) , you’ll combine hands-on groundwater, gas, and leachate monitoring and data analysis to ensure environmental information is accurately captured, analysed and reported. You’ll also support Environmental Management Group on contaminated land projects ranging from due diligence investigations to large-scale civil remediation works. What you’ll be doing: Working alongside environmental scientists and operational specialists, you’ll: Carry out groundwater, gas and leachate monitoring at landfill sites and other NSW Government sites, accurately recording your findings. Analyse monitoring and inspection results and turn data into clear, accurate and timely reports . Provide support to Environmental Management Group on contaminated land projects, including coordinating environmental assessments , completing due diligence investigations , and assisting on remediation projects . Use WAMC’s compliance software and systems to capture data, create new online forms, troubleshoot issues, and help produce Dashboards, Metrics and Project Status Reports. Build productive working relationships with colleagues, consultants, civil contactors, laboratories and other stakeholders. Keep people informed about project progress, respond to enquiries with timely and accurate information, identify emerging risks, and escalate or redirect issues promptly. Essential Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, hydrogeology, soil science, geology or relevant discipline.
