Reporting to the Director Information and Communications Technology, you will establish practical guardrails, risk assessment and approval mechanisms, performance measures and benefit realisation frameworks that enable responsible adoption of enterprise AI, agents and future approved AI solutions. You will provide trusted advice to executives and governance committees, build AI literacy and capability across staff and volunteers, and balance innovation with security, privacy, information quality, records management, accountability and transparency. About you To be successful in this role you will: bring demonstrated experience developing governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls or assurance programs within a complex organisation; have a strong understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, generative AI platforms, Microsoft Copilot, responsible AI and AI and data ethics and be able to turn strategy into an actionable portfolio of initiatives, with clear outcomes, measures, investment logic and benefit ownership; understand how cyber security, privacy, data and information governance, records management, procurement, legal obligations and risk management intersect with AI; communicate complex issues clearly, influence senior stakeholders and build consensus across diverse operational, corporate, technical and volunteer audiences; monitor emerging technology, legislation, standards and NSW Government policy, and translate developments into practical organisational advice and action.
